The Important 5 Updates from the Holy Land

It’s already Winter in the Holy Land! Usually during this time of the year, we are busy welcoming pilgrims and tourist groups to the Land of the Bible! Winter is indeed a unique and appealing time to travel to the Holy Land; it is still possible to swim in the Dead Sea even in the heart of winter, and sometimes in the Mediterranean Sea too!

Although tourists are still not allowed to travel to the Holy land, it is a relief to know that the government committee is discussing how and when to revive incoming tourism. Tourism is back on the government agenda. We are also excited to learn about the vaccines success stories that gives us hope for opening the skies to foreign travelers.

Several exciting events are taking place across the country as well. In Jerusalem, the most exciting renewal project in generation is taking place now at the Tower of David Museum, also coins dating back just over 1,000 years ago has been discovers in the area of the Western wall!

In Tel Aviv, coronavirus testing lab at Ben-Gurion Airport has been set up in Terminal 3 and has been inaugurated in a formal ceremony. Eilat and the Dead Sea are on their ways to become as Special Tourist Areas.

This month has been also exciting for us at Overseas Travel Bureau as we have taken the opportunity to patriciate in several virtual events. It was an exceptional experience to still have the chance to meet people around the world during this challenging time. We have participated in a virtual roundtable Tarde show along with some of Top U.S based companies specializing in Israel Travel. Participants shared their plans and products for a variety of audiences and experiences.

We have also had the chance to take part in The World Travel Market London (WTM London) the leading global event for the travel industry that took place this year virtually. Through this travel market, we have met several business partners from Poland, USA, Philippine, Greece, London, India, Sri Lanka and Tanzania.

Finally, we wish you a blessed Advent season, it’s the season in which we reflect on the birth of Christ and anticipate His return. God is coming to us, stepping into our world to heal it so let every heart prepare him room!
