- DAY 1
ARRIVAL: TEL AVIV CANA, NAZARETH, TIBERIAS
Welcome to the Holy Land where you experience the Bible comes to life as you walk in the footsteps of Jesus.
Upon our early arrival in Ben Gurion Airport, we make our way to Cana, site of Jesus’ first miracle at the wedding feast; here we invite couples to renew their wedding vows. Proceed to Nazareth where we visit the Basilica of the Annunciation for our opening Mass of the pilgrimage, then continue to St. Joseph’s Workshop and Mary’s Well. Finally, we arrive in Tiberias, check in dinner and the evening. (D)
- DAY 2
TIBERIAS: CAPERNAUM AND SEA OF GALILEE SITES
“And in the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea.” Matthew 14:25
This morning we begin with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. We will visit a replica of a fishing boat from the time of Christ. Our visit continues to the Mt. of Beatitudes to gain a panoramic view of the Sea of Galilee. We will visit Tabgha where it is believed that Jesus fed the crowd of 5,000. From there we will visit Capernaum where Jesus began his Galilean ministry, visiting the synagogue which dates to the time of Jesus and the site of Peter’s home. We continue to Magdala, the home of Mary Magdalene, was a prosperous fishing village at the time Jesus was active in this region. (B.D)
- DAY 3
TIBERIAS: MT. TABOR- BAPTISMAL SITE – JERICHO – JERUSALEM
“and they were being baptized by him in the Jordan River, as they confessed their sins” Matthew 3:6
Checkout. We drive to Mt. Tabor to visit the church of the Transfiguration. From here we travel along the fertile Jordan Valley where Jesus walked with His disciples, we stop at first at the baptismal site on the banks of the Jordan River- Qasr al-Yahud- the traditional baptism spot on the Jordan River. Here we renew our baptismal vows. Thereafter we arrive in Jericho, being the normal route from Galilee to Jerusalem, Jesus passed through it several times. We will see the traditional sycamore tree of Zacchaeus & view Mt. Temptation. Then it us up to Jerusalem. We enter Jerusalem by the Mount of Olives. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem. (B.D)
- DAY 4
JERUSALEM: BETHLEHEM & EIN KAREM
“The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” John 1:14
Our first stop is one of the oldest churches in the world, where it all began; The Church of the Nativity, the birthplace of Jesus. We will explore the Basilica mosaics and the grotto of the Nativity. Thereafter, we will visit the Franciscan Grotto of Lady Mary and learn how the ‘Milk Grotto’ got its name. A large underground cave with a Franciscan chapel built directly on top. This is the site where it is believed that Mary and Joseph took Jesus for refuge from King Herod, before fleeing across the holy land to Egypt. Thereafter, we drive to the Shepherd’s fields on the outskirts of the city. Upon our return to Jerusalem we stop we stop in Ein Karem where we visit the Church of St. John the Baptist and the Church of the Visitation back to the hotel for dinner and overnight. (B.D)
- DAY 5
MOUNTAINS OF JERUSALEM: MOUNT OF OLIVES & MT. ZION
“And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives” Zechariah 14:4
We start our day at the Mt. of Olives. Here we enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the Old City of Jerusalem. We then visit the Pater Noster church recalling Christ’s teaching of the Lord’s Prayer to his disciples. We continue our walk to the tear-shaped Church of Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. We follow the traditional road of triumphal entry of Jesus to Jerusalem eventually descending to the Church of All Nations and The Garden of Gethsemane at the foot of the mountain where Jesus prayed with his disciples on the night of his arrest.
We enjoy lunch on our own then we visit Mt Zion, also called Sion, in Old Testament. We visit the Upper Room commemorating the Last Supper of Jesus and his disciples, and the coming of the Holy Spirit on the disciples. We continue onto the Church of the Dormition of Our Lady The location is identified in Christian tradition as the place where the Virgin Mary died — or “fell asleep.” Finally, we visit the Church of St Peter in Gallicantu, (Latin for ‘cockcrow’) depicting Peter’s denial, his immediate repentance, and his later reconciliation with Jesus after the Resurrection. back to the hotel for dinner and overnight. - DAY 6
OLD CITY & FREE TIME
“Women of Jerusalem! Don’t cry for me, but for yourselves and your children Luke 23:28
We enter the Old City of Jerusalem through St. Stephen’s Gate and gather at the Antonia Palace to walk the Via Dolorosa, the Way of the Cross or the Way of Suffering, where nearly 2000 years ago Jesus of Nazareth carried his cross to his crucifixion. Just at the start of the Via Dolorosa we will find The Church of St. Anne: a Roman Catholic Church located in the old city of Jerusalem, the location of the church according to tradition is where Anna and Joachim lived, and believed to be the site of the grotto where Saint Mary mother of Jesus was born. It is also right by the Bethesda Pool, known to be the site where Jesus healed a paralytic. Also, at the beginning of the Via Dolorosa, we observe The Ecco Homo (“Behold the Man”) Arch, tradition holds that this was where Pilate pronounced judgment on Jesus. We conclude the Via Dolorosa at the site of Calvary for Mass at the Crusader’s Chapel in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We enjoy a guided tour of the Holy Sepulchre and the Empty Tomb He is not here; he has risen!” Luke 24:6-7 The rest of the day is free to explore on your own. Back to our hotel for dinner and the evening. (B,D)
- DAY 7
CROSSING INTO EGYPT
Checkout. After an early breakfast, we will proceed to cross the border to Egypt. The Holy Family left from Bethlehem to Egypt after an angel warned Joseph to leave with Jesus and Virgin Mary. Welcome to Egypt! Our guide will meet you. Dinner and overnight in St. Catherine in the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt (long driving distance: approx. 7 hours drive)
- DAY 8
FROM ST. CATHERINE TO CAIRO
“And Moses was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was mighty in his words and deeds” Acts 7:22
Today we Walk in the footsteps of the prophet Moses. an early dawn excursion takes us to Mount Sinai, where the Ten Commandments were given to Moses. It will be an ethereal feeling. Enjoy the breathtaking view of sunrise from the top of the Mount. Visit the Monastery then continue to Cairo passing by the Suez Canal and Moses Springs. Dinner and overnight in Cairo (long driving distance: approx. 6 hours drive)
The Monastery is closed on Sundays. The tour still operates but does not go inside the Monastery must avoid Sundays in order to be able to visit. .
- DAY 9
CAIRO: EGYPTIAN MUSEUM & PYRAMIDS
You will begin your day with a morning visit and guided tour of the Egyptian Museum where you will find artifacts of the Pharaonic era and the treasures of king Tutankhamun’s tomb. After the museum you will enjoy lunch on your own at a local restaurant before continuing to visit the Giza Plateau, home of the Great Pyramids and Sphinx Temple Complex. The largest among the six pyramids stands the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Standing 480 feet tall this pyramid is unique in that it is based on the number 5, and its top points directly to the middle star in the constellation Orion’s belt. After visiting these fabulous monuments, you will travel on to see the inscrutable and mysterious Sphinx Temple. Tonight, we enjoy a dinner cruise along the Nile. Overnight in Cairo
- DAY 10
OLD CAIRO CHURCHES & THE CITADEL
“And he rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed to Egypt” Matthew 2:14
Today, We visit The Citadel, a medieval fortress in the center of Cairo. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is known for its expansive views of the city, now contains museums and mosques. Thereafter, we visit the famed Hanging Church, a place of Orthodox worship and one of the oldest churches in Egypt. The church’s roof is built of timber to resemble the interior of Noah’s Ark. Next, see Abu Serga, known formally as Saints Sergius Church. This place has great significance as it is believed to be the spot where the Holy Family spent time during their journey in Egypt. Continue towards Ben Ezra synagogue, which is the reputed location of the place where the pharaoh’s daughter found Moses in the reeds. Dinner and overnight in Cairo.

DEPARTURE
After an early breakfast, we proceed to Cairo Airport for departure with unforgettable memories to cherish always. FAREWELL!

CLOTHING
We strongly advise that you pack clothes according to the season in which you visit Israel. For summers, pack light weight clothing, preferably short-sleeved or sleeveless shirts with shorts, and sandals. For winter tours, pack a coat and a raincoat with shoes that fully cover your feet, an umbrella, gloves, a scarf, and other warm items. Beach shoes and a bathing suit are a plus if your trip includes a visit to Eilat or the Dead Sea. Even in summer, pack a sweater or jacket for the chilly nights in the mountains and desert.
In Jordan, For winter tours, wearing layers is advisable, as it means you can react flexibly to changing temperatures (day/night, inside/outside), pack a coat and raincoat with boots that fully cover your feet or sturdy shoes, warm socks, an umbrella, gloves, a scar. For summer, pack lightweight, preferably long-sleeved clothing with pants or long skirt and sandals and a jacket for the cold nights in the mountains and desert even in the summer. Beach shoes and swimwear are a plus if your trip includes a visit to Aqaba or the Dead Sea. In Jordan You do NOT need to cover your hair, nor should you do it, unless you want to, the only place where you should cover your hair, arms and legs is when you are entering an Islamic religious site such as a mosque.
Egypt is generally a hot country, so light cotton clothing is advisable for the warmer months (April to September) and a light jacket for the evenings during the cooler months (October to March). Modest dress is particularly important when visiting mosques, synagogues and churches
ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES
Pack your personal appliances as you would for any international trip.
Note that the power grid in Israel offers single-phase 220 Volts at 50 Hertz. Most sockets in the walls there have three pin holes, but bringing an adaptor plug will solve that problem. If you or somebody in your group intends to use shavers, traveling irons, or any other small appliances, it would be wise to pack a transformer as well

Egypt electrical current is 220V, and sockets take the standard continental European dual round-pronged plug.
PASSPORTS & VISAS

For Egypt Tour, a tourist visa is required to enter Egypt. Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the date of entry into Egypt.
CURRENCY
The Israeli currency is the New Israeli Shekel. On arrival in Israel, use your bank-card to withdraw some Shekels from the ATM in the arrival-halls at Ben Gurion or change a small amount of dollars at a bank or your hotel. There are ATM machines all over Israel and credit cards are widely accepted.
The currency of Jordan is the Jordanian Dinar – JOD or JD. It is also called “leerah” in the spoken language; you can hear it every day at the market. 1 dinar is divided into 100 Qirsh (also called Piaster’s) or 1000 fils. Although the fils no longer exists as physical coin but you still see it on the price tags in shops. The exchange rate of the Jordanian Dinar to the US dollar is fixed at USD 1 = JD 0.708 upon arrival to Jordan, use your bank-card to with draw some Jordanian dinar from the ATM or change a small amount of dollars. There are ATM machines all over Jordan and credit cards are widely accepted
In Egypt The unit of currency is the Egyptian Pound (LE), which is divided into 100 piasters. Pounds are issued in notes of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200. Coins are issued in denominations of LE1 and 25 and 50 piasters.
